With the news last term of Charlie L achieving a top 25 finish in the UK Senior Mathematics Olympiad, the Intermediate group were not to be outdone! Having done so well in the UKMT Challenge in March, three Bedstone students in Year 10 were invited to take part in the UK Intermediate Mathematics Olympiad. Victor K was awarded a well-deserved Merit. Jason G was awarded a medal of distinction and the honour of finishing in the top 100 GCSE Mathematicians in the UK ; even more amazing, given the fact that Jason is not yet 14 years old! However, the star performer was Steven C who secured a medal of distinction and a top 50 finish.

Headmaster David Gajadharsingh said: “I am delighted that our students have shown yet again that they can compete academically on a national level with the very best students in the country. Few schools can boast of such a depth of academic talent and this simply underlines, not only our position as one of the leading non-selective schools in our region, but also the fact that at Bedstone College, we continue to bring out the very best in our children. The wonderful news of our partnership with a new investment group which we released last week means that students coming to Bedstone can look forward to the very best education, academic results and facilities long into the future and are secure in the knowledge that we have plans which will see Bedstone College become the independent school of choice in our region.”
