Bedstone students’ art exhibited at historic Bishops Castle Town Hall
Ten Bedstone students have had their art exhibited at Bishops Castle Town Hall as part of a month long young person’s open exhibition.
The exhibition features art work from young people aged 7 to 18 years and is a brilliant showcase for the talented art students at Bedstone College.
The pieces are all themed on either ‘The Weather’ or ‘The Dream’. They are being exhibited from 2nd December until 6th January 2018. All students received Special Award certificates for their pieces and Tamsin B received a Highly Commended for her piece.
Evelyn Bowles, Bishops Castle Town Hall Trustee said: “We were delighted that students from several local schools, including Bedstone College, entered artwork into the exhibition. Overall, the standard of work was of high quality this year so the students should be very proud of their achievements.
“The judges felt Tamsin’s piece captured the often dramatic nature of dreams and so merited a Highly Commended award.”
The exhibition has already received fantastic feedback. Local artist and former lecturer Drusilla Cole described the exhibition: “It was delightful, lots of variety, good depth of work and lots of promise. I hope to see good things in the future.” We are all excited to see what comes next for these young artists.
