Young artists enjoy a workshop with local artist Andy Hazell
Andy Hazell is a local artist whose public art can be found all over the country including major work at the Cardiff Children’s Hospital. Alongside his other work as a visiting lecturer, Mr Hazell makes sculpture out of tin. He visited Bedstone to lead a Tin Workshop for our older students. Year 11 students worked on pieces informed by the central theme of “Landmarks” while the sixth form kept in mind their own individual themes.
Having a whole afternoon in which to work was a great luxury and the students enjoyed and valued the opportunity to work over a longer time scale.
