The last week of term is always extremely busy and this one was no different. We had a fantastic Christmas Fayre on Saturday 3rd December.
There are few more beautiful sights than Bedstone Court on a cold and frosty morning. As I walked up to school this morning the temperature was about -5oC, the sun was just rising in the east and everything was silent. There aren’t many better places to be on a morning like this!
As the cold weather creeps in it has given me time to reflect on what has been an incredibly busy few weeks at Bedstone. I was called away to Kiev just before the half term break. I was very disappointed to have missed what I am told was an excellent House Music competition.
The sports teams have had an excellent start to the season. The Rugby teams beat Lucton School at every age group and last week and performed the same feat against Tettenhall College on Wednesday.
I have been really pleased with how term has started at Bedstone. I have been delighted to meet our new arrivals (all fifty five of them!). All our new students seemed to have settled very well into Bedstone life.
It has been great to see all the academic staff who are back in school today. A very big thank you to all the support staff for working so hard over the summer break to help prepare for the new school year. I do hope that the summer was enjoyable for you all and that your children are looking forward to the new school year ahead, feeling refreshed and enthusiastic!
It seems like only yesterday we were welcoming everybody back to Bedstone for the start of the new academic year and yet, we are now about to embark on a new term and a New year. Last term was as busy as ever, with the usual flurry of activities taking place, particularly at the end of term.
